A second day at work isn’t the same as the first day.
So when it comes to grooming your hair, it’s important to be ready.
“There’s no real difference between day one and day two,” says Lili Taylor, founder of the Hair Care Expertz.
“But you’re going to want to do everything you can to be able to look good for the rest of the season.”
This is especially true when it’s time to leave for the holidays, says Taylor, who has worked in the hair care industry for more than 20 years.
“For example, if you have a day off for Thanksgiving, you can have a nice, natural look while still looking great for the season ahead,” she says.
“If you’re a woman who has a day to unwind and take care of herself, that’s the perfect time to go out in style.”
For men, it can be a challenge to find the right haircut for every occasion.
Taylor recommends trying on the same look multiple times to see which one is best for you.
“I think a lot of people feel like they need to have the same haircut on all days of the week,” she adds.
“That’s just not the case.”
And if you’re looking for a haircut that’s versatile enough for different occasions, try on a different haircut every day to see how it looks, says Brian Jankowski, owner of Jankowska Hair & Beauty in Atlanta.
“Some people are more comfortable with a straight-cut,” he says.
Instead, try different hairstyles to see what suits your style.
The key to finding the perfect look for the entire season is to keep a routine in mind, says Jankowsky.
“You need to be consistent,” he explains.
“Make sure that you’re spending the whole day with it.”
This means going to your favorite barber or stylist to make sure that your hair is styled according to your own style preferences.
“It’s important that your haircut is comfortable and it feels natural,” Jankowkski adds.
