Tech giant Apple says it has made $15 billion in investments in black hair follicles since it began selling its products in 2011.
The company says it hopes to add about 40 million new customers by the end of 2020.
Black hair is growing at an alarming rate, with an estimated 8 million new hair follicle infections in the United States last year.
In recent years, the industry has seen a number of companies make strides in the fight against hair loss, with companies like Nordstrom and Dior making moves to sell and buy hair care products.
Nordstrom, however, has been under fire from a number customers who claim the company failed to adequately address hair loss.
In the wake of this controversy, Dior has now announced that it has acquired the company, bringing it to a total of $25 billion in value.
