The hair of every woman should be curled, but you may not know it, a study suggests.
Researchers say that the average hair-care professional will have a ‘clarified’ idea of how to use curling in their salon.
“There is no such thing as a ‘right’ time to curl,” said Dr Paul Kiefer, of the British Academy of Dermatology.
“But the best time to use a curling product is when it’s needed and when it fits the individual hair texture.”
Curl is a form of hair growth that’s similar to a root system, with the hair follicle forming a network of tiny hairs called hairspins.
The term hair-growth refers to the hair’s growth and is often used interchangeably with hair.
“It’s important that hair products are available in different shades and that the colours are consistent with your natural hair colour,” Dr Kiefers research concluded.
“Most people will feel comfortable using a hair-control product to keep their hair looking its best, but if you’re worried about curling your hair too often, it may be a good idea to get professional help.”
Culinary advice on using curling products is more specific to the length of hair.
Dr Kiefert suggested that people looking for advice on curling hair should look at products’ colour, texture and density.
“For the best results, I would recommend the use of a hair conditioner that has a medium-to-high density,” Dr. Kiefering said.
“You may also want to use high-density hair conditioners that have a very fine texture.”
To do this, Dr Kieler recommends using a product with a high-density texture that has the highest level of product to break down the hairs and provide the most moisture.
“I would recommend using a conditioner with a very high-purity texture to ensure it’s not damaging your hair,” Dr Kohler said.
“Also, the texture should not be too thin or too thick, so you won’t leave your hair soft or loose.”
The most important thing to remember is that there’s no such a thing as an ‘ideal’ curling routine, said Dr Kieff.
“The only time to do a curl is when your hair is at its most frizzy and needs it, but there is no rule that says it should always be done on a regular basis,” she said.
Curl should only be done at the end of your hair’s life, Dr Koher added.
“Curl can cause hair to lose some of its natural shine, so it’s best to wear a hair cover over your hair at this stage.”
